“It’s so sad how people just come on to LIB just to read stupid but sensational stories. Everybody wants to read about Regina Daniels, or Roman Goddess, or even Tonto Dike. But nobody pays attention to news items that are relevant to us as a people. An anonymous commentator had been repeatedly notifying us on LIB that he was sure that the missing girl must have drowned in the canal behind Gowon estate, because the night she was said to have gone missing, there was a heavy downpour in that area, and residents claimed that a girl accidentally fell into the canal and was swept away by the flood. However, none of our LIB readers seemed to pay attention to that comment, because it wasn’t a sensational story, and it had nothing to do with nudity and obscenities. Sadly, that anonymous commentator’s fears has turned out to be true. If we had all paid attention at the time, the poor girl’s corpse would have been found much earlier than now. Please stop blaming imaginary people, or an insensitive government for her death. The poor girl was just unlucky to have fallen into the canal, and the tides from the flood swept her away. It was nobody’s fault. May her soul rest in peace. So sad”.
